ACCA's annual general meeting (AGM) was held on September 24 at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The new president for this year Nisreen Rehmanjee was elected.
Rehmanjee has over 15 years experience in taxation dealing with both national and international taxation. This includes a career spanning 10 years with KPMG, the last four of which were served as Tax Director.

A Canadian Islamic financial institution is launching Canada’s first “halal-approved” credit card this month and will also offer it to US Muslims by year end, its president told AFP on Tuesday.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has submitted its proposals for the upcoming Federal Budget 2010 to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
