Pak Steel Chairman Fake Chartered Accountancy Degree

In an interesting turn of events, Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in Pakistan ordered the government to take action against Pakistan Steel Mill Chairman and put his name of Exit control list. The directed was ordered on claims of his fake chartered accountancy degree and this same fake degree also get him a job as a Chief Financial officer of Zarai Taraqqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) four years ago.
According to The News and Daily Times, the PAC members were astonished to hear that Lodhi whose ACCA degree was found fake on verification by ZTBL board on November 06, is currently holding prized post of acting chairman Pakistan Steel Mills. Although the article from The NEWS reported ACCA as a degree from Institute of Chartered Accountant of England and Wales (ICAEW), a completely different body. Anyways, after publishing fake reports on WikiLeaks, its hard to trust the accuracy of news group.
The PAC directed additional secretary finance present on the occasion to convey to the Interior Ministry to place the name of Lodhi on ECL besides registering FIR against him. “The Passport and Computerized National Identity Card of the official should also not be renewed,” Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, one of PAC members, said.
The federal auditors told the PAC that ZTBL appointed Imtiaz Lodhi as CFO starting from February 15, 2006 with gross salary of Rs200,000 per month. Later, a summary on November 6, 2006 was submitted to the President of ZTBL reporting that Imtiaz Lodhi has mis-stated the facts about his chartered accountancy documents.
Another interesting fact of the story was that the famous M/s Sidat Hayder, Morshed Associates which was hired for head-hunting and referred name of Imtiaz Lodhi after completing all formalities. There is no news of black listing of the company. Our team tried almost all number of Sidat Hyder but there was no one available to speak on the issue.
Another interesting part of the story is Imtiaz Lodhi LinkedIn Profile. According to his social profile, he said, he is a chartered accountant by profession but the chartered accountancy body is not listed in his education list. In pakistan,issuance of fake university and college degrees in no any hectic job and this job is still going..but as for ACCA is concerned..this is too much shocking news that the ACCA fake degree is also available, and more astonishing news is that the 4th Largest accountancy body endorsed the fake degree of LODHI.This is such a very huge insult of our profession and slap on Ernst & Young Sidhat hyder..
any response from ACCA or ICAEW whether he submitted which degree?
