This is ME changing the World
I am certainly not talking about myself. Personally, I still cannot change my my car without my father’s permission :-p
Anyways, jokes apart, what I would like to discuss today is why, despite being the largest ACCA market in the world, there is no representation of Pakistan in this organization. With every passing year, we see huge changes in course structure, in fees structure etcetera but what we never see is the real representation of Asian people, let alone Pakistan, in the making of these changes.
Einstein once said that, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing“ so if ACCA claims that they are a global organization then I would like to raise few questions on the behalf of our readers.
1. If ACCA is global then why are we paying in Pound sterling?
2. If WE are global then why the head office is in England?
3. And why there is no significant representation of Asian Examiners in papers? For further details you can just login to the official website and see the names of all examiners?
These and many more questions have been raised by the ACCA students, affiliates and members in their emails to us. And I believe that this is the time that we should officially raise our voices to get these answers,. For God sake, even United States got a Black president. How long will ACCA take?
Pakistan and Malaysia is one of the largest market for ACCA. I think its the time for the office to re-think their policies. So please help us and help yourself and post questions that you have in your mind.

Actually you are right but i dont agree with the head office thing. Like if you see any organization they have a control through their head office in all regions regarding change in policies etc and the head office is usually placed in a location from where the body actually started progress.
But yeah you are absolutely correct about the payment mode in GBP.
I totally agree with you but its wrong to ask ACCA to shift head-office here in Asia because the head office is located always there where the organization is started. About fees n policies you are rite
As the issue concerned with head office that will not be shifted here. But ACCA should revise their policy about fee to be paid in GBP. You are right on fee and examiners
Dear I am Also Agree with & above comments than How can we raise our hands by what method waht we have to do. only we can pass the comments enough.
Yes you are absolutely right…
Head Office can also be changed but if the human resources are available at the alternate location who are capable of managing it more effectively than from where it has been started…
Yes you are partial right..
first of all i would like to comment on the head office matter.
it is better to keep it centralize i.e head office in england.
second matter, yes i completely agree with you that fees and policies should be changed…
avsolutely correct. The ACCA board should think about it cause the largest number of registered students in ACCA are from pakistan
you are absolutely ryt man.. why we are paying our fees in GBP
you are too much right man we are with you on this mission i hope you have the ability to do this…… …
What do you mean by representation ? If it was implicit of Pakistani’s in specific and Asians in general, not constituting a significant part of the ACCA higher-ups; then I don’t get it. ACCA is an equal opportunity employer and wouldn’t stop an Asian progressing up the ACCA corporate echelons-if he were capable enough. Probably the reason why there aren’t as many Asians in there as you would hope for is because we’d rather work for companies and firms then in the academia, especially so far from home. As for ACCA being a global organisation, what does that have anything to do with the head office being in England, it began in England and they can very well choose to operate out of England. The United Nations is an international organisation but is head-quartered in Manhattan, NY, we don’t complain about that..? As for the pound sterling thing, whats the worlds common monetary unit these days..?hhmmn..none. They have to peg it to something to bring some unity to the entire payment system..no..? And if the pound suits them..then whats wrong with that..?And what policies are you exactly talking about..?
Thank you Mr. Ahmad Kamal. You saved my time writing all that
On a serious note, I second Mr. Kamal completely !!
The fees being charged in GBP is just to make sure that ACCA maintains a standard fee. Imagine every country paying in its own currency without knowing which rate to follow?? Which country to follow?? Then the local offices taking all the pain of these additional queries… Doesn’t make sense to me atleast.
As for examiners, let me tell you that the examiners and syllabus makers of Pakistan variant papers are Pakistanis. I guess that resolves your issue
