The New IQBAL
No, I am not talking about Allama Iqbal. And not even Zaid Hamid!
Although I am an ACCA but for some reasons, some of my close friends are all scientists or to be scientists. So I though I must introduce with one of my closest friend, Shafiq Iqbal. And you must be thinking, why do we care about my friend? Actually I’m not introducing him because he is a close friend, I am introducing him to tell my fellow students who are depressed due to current wave of Depression.
Shafiq Iqbal lives in Bhawalpur. A genius and of course a poor Pakistani. He was first came in light when a newspaper in 2002 reported that he invented a bicycle that runs on solar energy. And Iqbal start thinking that now he changed his fate and soon government will support him and all will benefit. And everything that he thought his invention will bring him, turns totally opposite. His father’s funds were blocked and his financial condition forced him to withdraw her cute little daughter, Sania, out of school. She cried every day for her school and Iqbal had no choice to look at her and his invention with tears in his eyes.
From the time of his invention to 2009 he was “living” somehow but his brain cells urge him to start working again. And Iqbal start working and in February 2009 he invented a Bio-Fueled plant that could generate 2 kilo watts of electricity. And again, when he presented his master piece, a 20th grade officer tried to degrade him in front of people and thanks to Youtube, you can still find this video there and see that officer’s attitude. And even at that time, disappointed with the comments of that person and depressed with his financial conditions, he finally decided to give up everything.
But thanks to media, when these reports were published, people from all over the world start calling him and congratulate him. And after a small period of time he received an award from the Government. And if you are expecting that I will say that “he lives happily ever after” then please accept my apologies.
Even after recognition and money that he deserved, he never stops working. This guy is still working in rural areas of Pakistan to produce low cost, or may I say, extremely low cost electricity and I must mention this that he is not working with the government, he is working with a private group. He pressed the people to use this new Pakistan-Made technology & reduce their electricity bills.
So, for all those depressed students, complaining about not getting jobs. Well, he is a scientist, a genius man with a family, with a history of discourages and he had been facing tough times and even gave up a few times. Do you think you are better than him?
Just wanna close with a quote, “If opportunity doesn’t knock, make a Door”.

very nice atricle… Some Global issue should considerable. Globally we are facing sugar problem as some countries like Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and etc are using Sugar cane as Ethanol resultantly. Same like the countries as Malaysia, Indonesia, Java Sumatra and etc are using Palm Oil as a diesel fuel which causes shortage of cocking oil. Similar worst usage of food has caused heavy food disaster through the world. The world is already facing food problem, using of food items into fuel will damage human life. But our units are useful for humanity and environment friendly. We are using Banana leaf, green grass, vegetable fisheries and poultry wastes and sewerages etc in our Units. These wastages after decomposition converted into rich fertilizer (Nitrogen + Phosphorus + potassium + Zinc and organic stuff) and methane gas ch4, which then use to electricity cogeneration. This gas can also be filled in cylinders for domestic purpose. Moreover the fertilizer can be used for cultivation. Our projects cannot make any problems for humanity and climate. Where as it is a better way for acquiring cheap energy
