Privatisations Coming Soon
Privatization Commission of Pakistan lately announced that they are going to transfer more government sectors in the hand of private investors. These organizations includes Utility Stores Corporation, Pakistan Post, Printing corporation of Pakistan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad Electric company!
Now as we all know that privatizing the sectors often improves their services and standards, but their is another view to this. Most economists and accountants argue that this theory is not popular in Pakistan. We only privatize those institutions that are making money and giving them to foreign investors in low prices not only effect our national interests but government is losing control of future healthy profits.
But these arguments never come to an end. But the surprising question is how privatizing Pakistan Post and Utility Stores will effect people? There should be a serious debate on this in parliament!
